Affinity Groups at SLAC bring together individuals with shared backgrounds, interests, specialties, or identity characteristics to foster inclusion and community, encourage new ideas, and create networking opportunities within and beyond the lab. They are similar to the Employee Resource Groups designated by the lab, but arise based on SLAC community interest and may connect to larger national or international organizations such as professional societies.
