I obtained my PhD at the University of Chicago under the advisement of Gregory Engel and David Tiede doing ultrafast spectroscopy of photosynthetic systems in vivo. I made the switch in the fall of 2016 to correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM) as a postdoc with W. E. Moerner, but also worked closely with the labs of Wah Chiu and Lucy Shapiro. Cryogenic CLEM is a fascinating space both for the its potential biological impact and for its infancy as a technique. There is so much to do and we need more people to do it!
