Eric Zimmerer

Postdoctoral Scholar

Eric Zimmerer is a postdoctoral research associate at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. He received his B.S. In Chemical Engineering at Penn State University and worked as a systems engineer at MilliporeSigma before earning his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University for the study of rechargeable alkaline MnO2 cathodes using lab-based (battery cycling, Raman, SEM/TEM) and synchrotron characterization (XAS, EDXRD). He is currently advised by Drs. Johanna Nelson Weker and Molleigh Preefer in the study of amorphous transition metal sulfide cathodes for lithium batteries.
