Penny Hyde is a postdoctoral scholar who is utilizing synchrotron X-ray techniques to investigate the anion redox mechanisms in amorphous transition metal sulfides as Li-ion battery cathode materials, in collaboration with Prof Bruce Dunn at UCLA. Dr. Hyde graduated from the University of Oxford with an integrated masters in Chemistry (MChem) in 2019. She then received her DPhil in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Oxford, where she worked on synthesizing new quaternary chalcogenides using soft chemical intercalating methods under the supervision of Prof. Simon Clarke.
