We advise arriving to SSRL one day before your beamtime is scheduled to complete all the in person administrative tasks in acquiring a badge, and the additional in person safety and sample preparation training.

All members attending the beamtime should plan on being at the beamline at 9 am.

Please follow the User Shipment guidelines from SSRL.

  • Hutch training is offered every weekday at 2 pm, except AP/PAMM days. The signup sheet is located at the entrance of B120.

Beamline staff are available for a crystal change during normal business hours. Ideally, it takes BL staff 2 hours if all goes smoothly.

Ideally, we recommend four individuals to come to the beamtime. The two most experienced individuals are split between day and night shift (if they have prior experience running XAS experiments and comfortable running all the equipment at night).
