Gas Handling Systems

Ambient Pressure Manifold

LabView controlled ambient pressure compressed gas manifold featuring:

  •  6 gas feed – configurable to specific gas blends
  •  Modulation excitation capable – cycling of two gas streams at frequencies up to ??? hz
  •  Reactor bypass module – reactant feed able to bypass reactor for on-line characterization of feed stream via mass spectrometer/GC
Commonly Supported Gases: 
  • Inert feed (He, N2) , Hydrogen Blends (5-100% H2) , Oxygen Blends (5-20% O2) , Carbon Monoxide Blends (5-100% CO) , Hydrocarbon Blends (5-100% HC) [methane, ethylene, ethane, propane, etc.]
Flow ranges: 
  • 20-100 sccm

High Pressure Manifold

LabView controlled high pressure compressed gas manifold for Syngas Catalysis.

Supported Gases: 
  • Helium, Hydrogen, Carbon Monoxide. 
Pressure Range(s): 
  • 1-15 bar OR 10-75 bar backpressure [configurable]
Flow ranges: 
  • 0.5-15 sccm of He/H2/CO blends 
  • OR 100 sccm He, 50 sccm H2, 20 sccm CO MAX

Gas Manifold at BL4-3

LabView controlled ambient pressure compressed gas manifold featuring:

  •  6 gas feed – configurable to specific gas blends
  •  H2S capable for S-based experiments
  •  Logging of process paramters when using accompanying in-situ XAS cell
Commonly Supported Gases: 
  • Inert feed (He, N2), Hydrogen Blends (5-100% H2), Oxygen Blends (5-20% O2), Carbon Monoxide Blends (5-100% CO), Hydrocarbon Blends (5-100% HC) [methane, ethylene], H2S/He and H2S/H2 blends
Flow range: 
  • 50 sccm N2 per mass flow controller
