Mike McDaniel has worked for several decades in the field of occupational safety and health. He did his undergraduate work (BA Economics, and Pre-Med coursework) at UC-Santa Cruz and completed a Master Degree in Public Health at Saint Louis University School of Public Health. He started his professional work in Aerospace, Research and Development, and spent his last fifteen years working in the Department of Energy laboratories. Occupational health has been a wonderful career for him to help others and utilize his academic training.

Stefanie Myhre
Stefanie has spent the last 25 years in a variety of positions in the corporate and non-profit sectors, including project and program management, fundraising and executive support. Since joining SLAC in 2013, she has worked in IT, LCLS-II and, most recently, F&O, where she manages documentation for large projects. Additionally, Stefanie has spent the last 20 years giving back to the military community and its allies through employment programs, career development and nonprofit support. She founded the Military Community ERG in 2016 and currently serves as its Treasurer.

Jan Gruenewald
Jan has been a technical recruiter for 30+ years. She has worked at SLAC for over two years supporting the hiring in AD. Throughout her career, she continually developed recruiting programs to hire military and veterans. As a former military wife, she has seen the daily struggles her combat disabled husband has faced. She is very committed to growing SLAC’s Military ERG group and works as their Outreach Officer.

Joshua Moody
Joshua Moody brings over a decade of leadership and project management experience from the Department of Defense, NASA, and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. As SLAC's Risk Manager, he directs risk analysis and mitigation strategies for complex scientific projects. Previously, Joshua managed high-impact initiatives with NASA, including driving cross-functional teams on advanced air traffic management projects, and served as a U.S. Navy Supply Officer, overseeing global logistics operations and multimillion-dollar assets across six international deployments. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and an MA in International Relations from the University of Oklahoma. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and ScrumMaster (CSM), and is passionate about teamwork, problem-solving, and supporting the military and research communities.
