Core Science Institute: Call for Volunteers!

On June 12-16, 2023, SLAC National Laboratory will welcome middle school students for CORE Summer Science Camp, an immersive, educational experience with the goal of cultivating a sense of belonging in science and motivate students to explore careers in STEM. From 9am to 3pm, students will meet scientists, engineers, and other technical professionals who are solving today’s most complex energy science problems and learn about science through hands-on experiments, tours of state-of-the-art particle accelerator facilities, and engaging presentations. At the end of the week, students will hone their science communication skills through a poster presentation about their camp experience that will be attended by National Laboratory staff and leadership.
