Military Community ERG | DONATIONS FOR IN-PATIENT VETERANS

The Military Community ERG will be taking donations for in-patient veterans at Palo Alto Veterans Hospital & Menlo Park VA Campus for all of May.
You can find the donation bins in buildings 53, 52, 41, & 28.
Why?
When a veteran is a patient at the Veterans Hospital for in-patient stays, the VA does not provide the basic toiletry or other essential items for that patient. The patient must provide their own or depend on the generosity of donations for basic items (or more generous comfort items). A list of the most needed items is provided as guidance.
All donated items are tax deductible, and a tax receipt can be provided.
For employees who would like a VA Donation Claim Form, send an itemized list of donations to Al Cook at alcook@slac.stanford.edu. A form will be prepared and returned.
SLAC MC-ERG officials have been authorized to sign the form as the “Voluntary Service Staff.”
